Garth is a very special dog who makes a new friend everywhere he goes! He is incredibly outgoing, energetic and as loyal as can be. Garth also has wonderful bird instinct, but learned to bust birds at an early age so requires further field training before he can boast any titles in that department.
He too is very sweet with our children, and loves every dog he meets. In fact, his best friend is a wee little Miniature Pinscher! Garth enjoys scent detection, obedience training, agility, and a good ol' romp. He gladly pulls a sled in the snow for the neighbourhood children and is well known in our village for his skills in pulling sleds and their kids back UP the toboggan hill (a parents dream!).
Garth is an accomplished show dog, he is currently the #1 Gordon Setter in Canada, and held the title in 2023 as well. He was the #1 Gordon Setter Puppy in 2022. He is the only Gordon Setter in history to have won Winners Dog twice at the American National which is a show just for Gordon Setters, typically with an entry of close to 200 dogs.
Miriam

Miriam (affectionately known as, "Meercat", "Miriam Delirium" or "Peanut") is truly as sweet as can be. She has incredible hunting instinct and is the youngest Gordon Setter to be awarded a field dog junior (FDJ) title at just five months of age. She also accomplished her Novice Rally title at just six months of age - a lovely, biddable girl!
She is darling with our young children at home and outgoing with people she knows - reserved with those she has yet to meet. Miriam is affectionate and loves to snuggle. Her favourite game is to play ball. Miriam is both dog and cat friendly on leash and at liberty.
Miriam has had a successful show career to-date, and was tied for the #4 Gordon Setter in Canada for 2025 with limited showing. She is currently excelling in Scent Detection training, and will likely trial in that sport later in 2026 once she has raised her litter of puppies.
Puppies from the Garth x Miriam breeding will be due late March, 2026. The breeding will be confirmed in late February. All puppies will be CKC registered, health guaranteed.
